So...I haven't been on this blog since...I don't know. It was a long time ago. Oh, and my smarter friend informed me that I've been grammatically wrong in my past blog posts. It should've been "The Day WHEN..." not "The Day WHERE". The reason is quite obvious and I do feel quite stupid for not realizing it. Oh well...
High school has come and gone.
So, today, I graduated from high school. I feel the need to record my fond memories in the past hours of my life. This morning, I woke up. It was just like waking up for a normal day. I was groggy and I did not have any desire of regaining full consciousness. But I awoke nonetheless. I got ready for graduation [showered, brushed my teeth (without my mother telling me, mind you, haha.), got dressed, etc.]. And then I helped out a little to finish setting up for my post-graduation celebration.
As I arrived at school, it felt odd. I felt like it had been summer for a while and that I hadn't been on campus for quite some time. I met up with my fellow classmates to prepare for the ceremony...I feel now that I am going into more detail than is necessary. I will proceed with the ceremony.
Sitting there, I felt anxious, yet I wanted time to stand still. As the persons gave their speeches, I was thinking to myself, "It's hot outside. I have too many leis around my neck. This is a good speech! I'm yawning a lot." Those aren't necessarily sentences that one would expect. I don't even know where I'm going with this because I was indeed excited to graduate and I am looking forward to what God has in store for me. The more I type, the more I lose track of what I came on here to type about.
One thing about immediate post-graduation is: pictures, pictures, pictures!
My graduation party was amazing! A lot of my family was there and it was absolutely great seeing them! A lot of friends also came and visited and I always have fun with them! My youth group came and supported me and I was pleasantly surprised! Teachers and adults were there and brought joy with them! It was just an all-around great time for me! I backflipped into the pool a number of times, I got rammed by a giant bouncy ball, I recorded a video with my friends, I played Disney Trivia and won, I watched myself grow up multiple times via slideshow, I laughed and talked and almost cried today. It was fun!
On a couple sidenotes, I finally receieved my car! Yay! I have to learn how to drive a manual now. I saw Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time with a few friends! Yay! I don't know, it was just a genuinely great day for me!
Thank God!

The Day Where I Ran My Third Yellow/Red Light
Hi,
So, I've been driving a lot lately (I only have my learner's permit) and for the most part, I'm an okay driver. I use my turn signals and I haven't hit anything yet, so yeah. But here are a few problems I have to fix (because I'm bored):
NOTE: When you see "EDIT", it's because I started this post a while ago (don't know exactly when), but my computer froze and I had to stop. I just came back to it, so I have improved in my driving, haha.
1. I have to drive more to the left of the lane. I tend to gravitate toward the right side of the lane. I don't go out of the lane, but when I'm next to curbs or something, I get a little close. I don't know why, but I just gradually go to the right more. I have to learn to stop doing that. EDIT: I found out that the car I drive naturally gravitates toward the right, so it's not all me, haha.
2. I pretty much freak out when I get a yellow light! I hate green lights because they might turn yellow, haha. I know it's pretty normal at first to not know whether to accelerate or brake when the dreaded yellow light rears its ugly head. What I tend to want to do is speed up, not because I want to like go fast or try and make it, but because I'm afraid that I won't stop behind the line if I try braking. I feel like I'm going too fast to stop smoothly and behind the intersection. I have to quit worrying, first of all, and secondly, make a decision based on if I even have time to brake (which I probably mostly do) or maybe a car is really close behind me or maybe I do have to run it. EDIT: I've gotten better at making judgments when a yellow light comes up.
4. Changing lanes can be scary! Before, I was not used to turning my head before I changed lanes (yes, that's very bad). Now, I always do and so it's not that bad. But when I first started, I was in two situations where I almost hit a car because of my poor method of changing lanes. Often, I freak out and do not change lanes when I need to get into one, but that's better than hitting a car, I guess.
So, yeah, driving is fun yet always a little bit nerve-wracking. There are so many variables when driving, so it's hard to keep focus on some of the constants sometimes. I hope to get my license in April, so I best maintain practicing!

NOTE: That was all I had written the first time, so the rest of it is now current.
3. I hate going fast! As a teenage boy, you'd expect me to have a "need for speed", but instead I want to go slowly. The fastest I've ever driven so far is 50MPH, haha. I have not driven on the freeway yet either. So, hopefully, I'll learn to go a little bit faster, but not too fast!4. Changing lanes can be scary! The Day Where I Got LOST
Hi,
Okay, guess what I'm doing at about midnight on a school night? I'm making a new blog post, duh! Actually, I'm supposed to be doing my AP work, but I'm so gosh darn distracted. So, I decided to type letters and characters that would come together to create a message to basically no one but myself (I'm implying that no one reads these, haha. It's true though, but I really don't care. This blog is mostly for me).
So, about a year ago, I stopped watching one of the most thrilling and utterly confusing TV shows to ever air on television. Yes, LOST is to what I'm referring. Well, I recently started to catch up (since they are now airing the final season). I was only a few episodes away anyways, so I just finished season 5 of this spectacular show! I am so excited to start season 6 because I really love this show again! I think the personal hiatus was worth it because even though I had no clue what was going on, the first episode I watched in about a year was one of the best that I can remember! I seriously hope this show ends well because things are absolutely insane where I am now in the show. I want to go into detail, but they are a couple reasons why I shouldn't...
I should be doing my homework (I'm literally a few sentences away from finishing my AP Chemistry homework). And if someone happens to find this post and is watching LOST but is not caught up, I don't want to spoil it for them. I'll just expand my thoughts a little bit.
My favorite characters right now are Sawyer, Miles, Juliet, and Jin. Jack, Locke, Kate, and Hurley kind of annoy the heck out of me right now, so personally, I don't care if they die. I still like Sun, but they aren't showing enough of her for me to be totally invested. Ben has turned into some sort of puppy dog in a way. Oh, I forgot about Sayid. He is just...there. Richard is pretty cool. I don't know that's all I can muster up for now, haha.
Well, I'm going to go back to my seemingly useless work. Do I honestly think this homework I do now will benefit me in the future? No. But do the study habits I can potentially gain from AP classes benefit me in the future? Yes. It's a shame I'm writing about this but not practicing it. I am only diligent when I'm at school. As soon as I leave, I become a lazy hermit leeching off the computer or TV. That "sucks". Haha.

The Day Where Music Distracted Me
Hey,
Yeah, so I haven't written since the end of January and it is now after Valentine's Day. But that's okay. No one truly reads anyways, haha.
Well, today, I'm trying to do some responsible things like homework and scholarships, but I just keep sitting here listening to music. I love music. What would we humans do without music? Gosh, I can't even imagine a world without music. Church service would not be the same. Television and movies would not be the same (and video games, for that matter). Life would be a little more bland.
I am glad music exists. I'm glad I can sing to something. I am glad I can dance to something. Music toys with our minds. The rhythm is moving. The lyrics are deep and riveting (sometimes, haha). The melodies are extremely pleasing. It's poetry in fluid motion. I love music.

The Day Where I Went to Disneyland
Hey!
So, this Friday, I went to Disneyland with a few of my friends! It was a blast! I had so much fun and I didn't feel as bad about not going to school (I usually feel guilty when I don't go to school, even if I'm sick...).
Here are some crazy things that happened there!!
1. BOYFRIEND FAIL!
We were in line for Casey Jr. and we saw this young couple. They are exiting the ride and he steps out of the little thing they were in even though the little door is still shut (he was tall enough to just step over the door). He proceeds to exit, while his girlfriend is calling out to him, "Nate! Nate!" because she can't get out and he's just going to leave her there. He turns around and says, "OH..." and then walks right past her to the real exit (because he was going the wrong way). An employee helped her out. A little later, I see them again and she looks kind of upset with him. He is laughing, so she just stomps away from him and then he goes chasing after her...he fails...
2. Drunk Girl/Drugs
We are in line for Space Mountain. It's close to closing time at this point. This woman in front of us turns around and asks us about something I'd rather not say on here. It's a really weird question and she then tells us her opinion on it. Then she says to us, "Don't drink when you get older!" One of my friends whispers that he can smell the alcohol on her breath. She then turns to us again and says, "Make sure you don't drink because if you're drunk like me, you go around asking weird questions like that..."
I don't think I've ever been around a drunk person. That's how sheltered I am, haha. But I'll listen to her advice and not drink ever, haha. We also briefly got offered drugs, I think. This shady guy turns to us and says, "Hey, you wanna buy??" We just ignored him. That was a first too (being offered drugs).
3. Steamboat Willie is Inappropriate
We went into this thing where they show Steamboat Willie episodes. Wow! They are raunchy, haha. The least "inappropriate" (it wasn't really inappropriate, it just didn't seem "Disney") thing was when a cow with the biggest udder you'll ever see is caught on a little plane. Mickey (er...Willie) tries to catch the plane and uses the cow to try and get up. He pulls down on the udder and milk squirts everywhere. This happens a few times, haha.
Another thing is that Minnie doesn't wear a shirt. I already knew this though. But what happened with her is that she jumps out of the plane and uses her bloomers as a parachute. She is shown with no shirt and no underwear. Now, I know there's nothing there, but it was still raunchy, haha.
The last thing is that Willie is a creepy pervert to Minnie. He asks for a kiss. She refuses. He gets mad and turns the plane upside-down as they are both in it. She starts falling and freaking out. He laughs but then catches her. He asks for a kiss again. She refuses again. He grabs her and forces a kiss on her. She slaps him. Hahaha.
4. There's this awesome spiral thing on the window of the magic shop. It's one of those crazy optical illusion type things. It spins around and you have to stare at the center for 30 seconds and then look at the back of your hand. It's so weird!!!!! It makes it look like the skin is bubbling or something. I actually have a video recorded. I'll post it on my Facebook soon (hopefully) and you can actually try it (if you're my friend and I actually know you, haha)!!
5. The last thing is that the Jungle Cruise is like my favorite non-thrilling ride now! The jokes are hilarious!!!! I've never been at night, and since the animals are harder to see, the ones they don't mention are replaced with jokes and it's so cheesy yet so hilarious! I loved it.
Those were some moments at Disneyland. There were a lot of fun times there though, but these were stand-out ones.
Thanks for reading this particularly long post!

The Day Where Things Seem To Be Going Well
Hi there,
So, I haven't posted anything in a while. But things are looking up in my life!
Just tonight, I passed my Eagle Scoutmaster Conference. Think of it as like a final in Boy Scouts, I suppose. It was not as difficult as I thought it'd be, but I definitely learned a lot during it. I have to be more confident when I go for the Board of Review. Anyways, I'm one step closer to Eagle Scout (only a couple steps away).
Also, we've had our drama performances this past weekend and they went spectacularly well! There may have been a few mishaps, but overall, it was fun and the audience seemed to enjoy it! I'm excited for Saturday's performances.
This is something really small, but I feel like saying it anyway. In AP English, we read some student essays (anonymous) and the teacher happened to pick mine. It turns out that I wrote a good essay because people gave it an 8 out of 9 (the AP essay grading scale). I was happy. I didn't want them to know who wrote it though, but they figured it out because I'm not good at lying. But now, I'm kind of sharing this with anyone who is reading this...haha.
Well, life in general is just going pretty well right now. I like it.
Bye,

The Day Where I Finally Got My Permit
Hello,
So, today, I finally went to take my learner's permit written test at the DMV. It was extremely crowded and very loud. A mother had trouble controlling her young children. Phones were ringing off the hook (literally, they were cell phones). Numbers were being called out every so often. Luckily, I made an appointment. After all the technicalities, I got to take my awkward picture (yeah, I decided to smile) and try to sign a good signature on the slippery touch pad.
I went into the small room where you take the actual written exam. It was quiet. Well, I got 100% on it, so I was very happy! I now have my permit. It's about time too. Once I get insured, I'll start to drive...what a scary thought.
